The new Year is a time to celebrate new beginnings and a time to reflect on the blessings of the past. As I reflect on the past year, I am thankful for many things. I am especially thankful for Wisma mega Indah because it is a community that is dear to my heart. This community will not be possible if it were not for the support and guidance of many special individuals. And so I would like to take a moment to especially thank Keith Ward for introducing me to the chief executive of Peel Senior Link, Ray Applebaum and Steve Kavanagh, Director of Client Services.
Peel Senior Link is a non-profit organization, who provides personal care and home-making services that give Seniors the opportunity to live with dignity, stability and safety. Without such an organization, Wisma Mega Indah Inc. would not be possible.
I would also like to thank Peel Senior Link’s supervisor, Ms. Jing Hong, as she has been a tremendous help to both the Seniors and the staff. Also my sincere thanks to my dearest friends David Culham and Ron Starr, our councillor of Ward 6. They have always been there if I needed help and I could not imagine this community’s accomplishments without them. And at last but not least, I would also like to thank the Region of Peel staff, especially Commissioner Janet Menard, our Board of Directors and all our selfless volunteers.
Wisma mega Indah Inc is not just a non-profit apartment building, but it is a home and a community for many families. It takes a dedicated team of special people to make such a wonderful community happen. And for this, I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart.
May the New Year continue to bring your families and our community at Wisma Mega Indah Inc. many blessings.
